Project objectives

The project’s overall and specific objectives were the following:

Overall objective

"Provide the consumers of the European Union and selected Associated Countries with better and healthier food through a more demand driven scientific research on food safety innovation, nutritional values, raw materials and food technology".

Specific objectives

1. Identify European SME’s research and technology development priority needs through a consultative process participated by all Food Quality and Safety (FQS) Stakeholders
2. Establish a permanent network between all the FQS Stakeholders
3. Strengthen the link and promote the joint participation to future Community RTD activities of FQS Stakeholders from 10 European and Associated Countries
4. Stimulating international co-operation with the participation of New Member States (Czech Republic and Hungary) and Candidate Countries (Turkey)
